Co-Regulation in Practice
Tools to Strengthen Authentic Self-Care, Support Stress Reduction, and Create Lasting Change
Join instructors Karen Lane, LCSW, and Sarah MacLaughlin, LSW, for a practical, skills-based training for behavioral health professionals seeking better tools for stress, burnout, nervous system regulation, and strategies for client follow-through.
This in-person training integrates Life Ideals’ six self-care practices with a polyvagal-informed, relational neuroscience approach with ACT strategies: making it easier for participants to practice sustainable self-care and co-create client-centered self-care plans (rather than relying on generic “shoulds”). You’ll learn how nervous system state shapes behavior and connection, how to understand and expand the window of tolerance, and how to use self-empathy (feelings/needs/requests) with the Four Chairs (NVC) framework to reduce shame/conflict, increase clear/compassionate communication, and support meaningful change. You’ll leave with mindfulness micro-practices and habit tools that make follow-through more achievable in real life—for you and your clients.
